“ Can't fault the Cherub, food is perfect. Have had several meals recently, and made by different chefs, but all have been to an equally high standard. Pefect temperature ales too. Even the locals are lovely and accepting of us tourists. Well done to all the staff. ”
“ A cosy little gem of a pub in the winter and a busy, floral extravaganza in the summer. Lovely locals, great bar staff and a great selection of local beers and spirits. Dog friendly too. ”
“ Great little pub, nice atmosphere and food was A1. Small menu but perfectly cooked and ample servings. Only a few people in the bar the night we were there, but people in very friendly. If you struggle with mobility the toilets would be difficult. Nice selection of beers. Very dog friendly, ”
“ Great little pub in a listed building to have a beer, cheer, and good solid pub food. Straight off the ferry and about 200 yards from the pontoon. Thoroughly recommend as food is served promptly, so if you are on a schedule, you can be in and out and having had a cheeky pint too. Also, board games are available to defeat your friends and subsequently never speak to them again. Try the 'Proper Job' pint lovely supping beer. ”
“ With the new owners the food was amazing and the staff were first class. Was made feel so welcome. Really would love to visit again. ”
“ Discovered this place recently while on holiday. An EXCELLENT find. Good choice of beers, food was good, well priced, and served promptly. Bar staff were friendly too. Wish it was closer to home though, as I'd make it my local. ”
“ Called in during the Dartmouth Music Festival and it was lovely, so chilled and the young member of staff behind the bar was so good. Great very old pub that are so few of nowadays, superb features and a great choice of beer. Off the beaten track but all the better for it and definitely worth seeking out! ”
“ A beautiful pub located in Dartmouth. It is small, with only about 7 tables, and I was very lucky to nab a table so that I could order some food. Only one member of staff working one small bar so you have to be patient as she also has to go up and down the stairs for the food. A good selection of food available and as this is a CAMRA pub you have a good selection of real ales as well. I ordered the Hunters Chicken and had some Reverend James ale whilst I waited for my food. It’s a very friendly pub with an open fire, original beams and very dog friendly. My food arrived and I was very happy with how it looked. I was blown away by how it tasted and loved every single bite of it. The chicken was amazing, the bacon and sauce enhanced everything and I cleared that plate of food. Please remember that this is a very small pub, so like I did, give up your table once you have eaten and stand by the bar to enjoy the lovely atmosphere of the place and let someone else enjoy it as well. Highly recommend The Cherub. ”
